Thinking of coming to see me? Here are the answers to the questions families ask most. If there's anything else on your mind, pick up the phone and give me a bell. I'm always happy to have a chat.
Where are you based?
I'm based in Ilkeston on the border of Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire. It is about 25 minutes from Nottingham and Derby town centre.
Do I have to make a booking?
Yes. All shoots are booked in advance for a time and date that suits you. Just give me a call and I will arrange one.
How long does a shoot take?
A studio session lasts around 60 minutes with plenty of time for wardrobe changes and different backgrounds.
Is there parking?
Yes, there's a free customer car park. Head down Belper Street (one way) and you will find the studio on the right about halfway down. You will see a sign that says The Old Mill Photography Studio. Just use the first car park on the right.
How much is a shoot and what do I get?
Your one hour session is £45 and includes a free 8"x10" print in a presentation folder. All my print and digital package prices are on my Prices & Packages page, so there are no surprises on the day.
Can I bring friends and family?
Absolutely. I love a busy studio so the more the merrier! You are welcome to bring your much loved pets too as they are part of the family.
What should I wear?
Wear whatever you feel comfortable in. I suggest casual, fairly neutral clothing rather than bold patterns, spots or brand names which can date the photos or distract from faces.
What products do you offer?
I have a beautiful selection of frames, metal prints, block mounts, canvases and floating frames. They are all displayed around the studio so you can see them in person when you arrive.
How much do products cost?
Prices vary by size and finish. You'll find everything listed on my Prices & Packages page, or just give me a call and I'll talk you through it.
How long until I see my photographs?
I don't believe in keeping you waiting. Your images are carefully edited very soon after your shoot and I will arrange your viewing for a time that works around you.
Do I have to buy the photographs?
No. There is no obligation to purchase. If the images are not for you, that is fine. However, this is very rare and not something I see very often.
